Management Consultancy (MSc)
This new, innovative course has been designed with a focus on management consulting across the board, enabling you to examine and place contemporary project and change issues in a local, national and global practice-based environment.
Designed in consultation with students, employers and the Institute of Consulting, you will be given extensive knowledge of the management consultancy industry, in order for you to gain an appreciation of the latest techniques and research. You’ll be exposed to modern consulting techniques and methodologies, developing a range of transferable skills, as well as valuable industry contacts and experience.
What’s covered in the course?
Through a programme of academic and practical study, the course provides you with knowledge of the key theories, tools and practices used in management consultancy. You’ll focus on developing professional consultancy skills and competencies using a combination of internship opportunities, simulations, business games and live case studies.

The minimum entry requirement is a 2:2 honours or above degree from a UK University, or an international equivalent in any discipline.
In addition to the above requirements where English is not your first language, you must be able to furnish satisfactory evidence of a level of attainment in English language commensurate with study at Masters Level at Birmingham City University.
In most cases, a TOEFL score of at least 575 or an IELTS score of 6.5 average or 6.0 in all bands or an alternative qualification evidencing an equivalent competence in English will be required.

International Students: £12,000 per year
In order for graduates of the programme to evidence the acquisition of the desired holistic skill sets, it has been designed in consultation with employers to incorporate a number of assessment types including; examination, video presentation, report writing, online international learning and internship projects.
This course is entirely coursework based. This allows you the opportunity to go in-depth with all of your assessed work, meaning you can progress at a pace that suits you. No matter what the topic, you will be able to have enough time to research, comprehend and report on it to the best of your abilities.

To support your employability aims, the MSc Management Consultancy programme places a key emphasis on practice-based learning and research.
